Earick Rejects Tottenham Hotspur Takeover Bid After Approach

Daniel Levy managed Spurs' move to the state-of-the-art venue in recent years.

American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick has ruled out submitting an official acquisition offer for the North London club.

The club had previously “unequivocally rejected” an preliminary inquiry from a consortium led by Brooklyn Earick last month and stated the organization was off the market.

However the nation's corporate governance laws dictated that, having had an expression of interest declined, the interested parties had to submit a bid by the October deadline or declare they would not do so.

Confirmation of the determination was issued in a release issued by Tottenham to the financial markets, indicating the club is “ceased to be in an acquisition window.”

The entrepreneur posted an snapshot of the statement on online platforms, remarking: “I've had a honor interacting with Tottenham Hotspur and the Lewis family's representatives over the past few months.

“I maintain deep admiration for the club, its executives, and its followers, and hope for only the best.”

The club's board thanked the group for its “positive engagement” in negotiations and for “honoring the firm stance” of the owners that the team is not for sale.

The entrepreneur is a one-time music presenter who also was employed in space technology for NASA before establishing Redacted RnD, which concentrates on tech, communications, athletics and leisure.

The informal offer was the third expression of interest turned down by the club's board since the unexpected exit of executive chairman the former chairman in last month.

In early fall, the organization declined offers from previous club stakeholder Amanda Staveley's the investment firm and a group headed by Roger Kennedy and Wing-Fai Ng through the holding company.

Levy and his family hold about 30% of the parent company – which has an nearly 87 percent shareholding in the club.

The executive was the Premier League's longest-serving chairman and is believed to have earned more than £50m during his almost quarter of a century in the role.

However he was also the focus of regular protests by Spurs fans, particularly last season as Premier League performances proved unsatisfactory.

Tottenham claimed their major honor in nearly two decades when they beat Manchester United in last season's Europa League final.
